Plastic Surgery for Men

In today’s world both women and men want to appear youthful and so it is not unusual to find men of all ages getting plastic surgery done for purely cosmetic reasons. Like women, men request surgery to change how their noses look, make their faces look younger or even receive liposuction. There a many things that differ with regards to plastic surgery for men. These include the thickness of their skin and the way their facial hair grows. If a man chooses to get a face lift then his surgeon will determine if he has a receding hairline and will consider the fullness of his sideburns. He will also look for facial scars, sun damage and saggy skin on the neck. The skin on a man’s face receives a greater blood supply than a woman’s skin does which means that a man’s face will bleed more during surgery. This also means that men face a higher risk of having a hematoma, or pool of blood form underneath the skin following their procedure. Another factor to consider is that since men don’t normally wear makeup, they will find it difficult to hide any scarring that may occur as a result of their surgery.

Other procedures that men can opt for are calf implants, pectoral implants, and having a form of liposuction done on their abdomens that creates a rippled look. These are all fairly new procedures so if a man is thinking about having any of these procedures done he needs to make sure he speaks with a board-certified plastic surgeon that is skilled in these techniques.

Cosmetic surgery is so prevalent in today's culture that it is almost impossible not to have heard about them. In fact, statistics show that one out of every five Americans have either had a cosmetic surgery procedure or will have one in the near future. The most common procedures are facelifts, tummy tucks, and breast enhancement. But, there are many other cosmetic procedures that are far less common.

People are becoming so detail oriented with their looks and the shape of their bodies that they have even started to concentrate on some of the tiniest "flaws". One of which is the belly button. That's right, if you are embarrassed with your "outie" bellybutton, you can go to a surgeon, pay him or her about $4000 and they will give you an "innie" bellybutton. This surgery is called umbilicalplasty and is fast becoming one of the more popular cosmetic surgeries.

Another burgeoning cosmetic surgery procedure is plastic surgery to beautify your toes. That's right, your toes. People who "suffer" from crooked toes or who have one toe that is taller than the others can have them straightened or shortened. After all, sandal season is right around the corner.

Another unusual
cosmetic surgery is having hair transplants done for your eyebrows and eyelashes. The surgeon will remove small hairs from the back of your neck and transplant them to your eyebrow area or on your upper or lower eyelid. These cosmetic surgeries take about three months before you start to see any real hair growth in those areas. A major drawback to these surgeries is that once it comes in, scalp hair grows much quicker and longer than eyebrow or eyelash hair. Therefore, you will need to keep the newly transplanted hair trimmed.

And yet another unusual cosmetic surgery, made popular by the actress, Demi Moore is to get a knee-lift. As she aged, she noticed some sagging skin above and around her knees. That just wouldn't do. So, she ran to her plastic surgeon who, for $5,000 proceeded to give her one of the first widely-reported knee-lifts.

Breast augmentation is also making strides and developing new techniques. One of the newest, developed in Brazil is having an "internal bra" made of wire-mesh inserted. This cosmetic surgery lays a wire mesh under your tissue to support your breasts as if you were wearing a bra. Yet another newer technique developed in Brazil to eliminate crow's feet around the eyes is a procedure where they completely remove the muscle near the corner of the eye. This surgery was first performed on people who suffer from facial ticks, but when the surgeons noticed that the wrinkles around the eyes disappeared as well, they began offering the procedure as cosmetic surgery.

Even parts of our bodies that aren't seen in public, at least, not usually, are becoming popular areas for cosmetic surgery. Many women elect to have their vaginas reshaped while more and more men are deciding to undergo penile enlargement and lengthening. Genital cosmetic surgery is becoming one of the fastest growing procedures.

There doesn't seem to be one place on our bodies that can't be nipped, tucked, lifted or reshaped. As people become more aware of and accept these cosmetic surgeries, the medical profession will continue to develop new procedures for parts of our bodies that we never knew were inferior. Sadly, each generation is influenced even more by the prevalent images of "perfection" that are depicted everywhere. And those images are showing more and more skin, which shapes our opinion of what the perfect body should look like. Pornoglafia
